Welcome

Fat Cat Fab Lab is the brainchild of Noah Sapir. We are a 100% volunteer-run NYC makerspace located in the heart of New York City in Greenwich Village. Bootstrapped by a Jazz Club in 2013, we’ve been a hub for artists, students, engineers, hobbyists, startups, and meetups to gather and grow through 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC routing, sewing, electronics, and more. Welcome!

Philosophy

Fat Cat Fab Lab is a volunteer-run makerspace where everyone is free to teach, learn, share, pratice, and create. We often see people come for the tools and stay for the community. Whatever you decide to do to make this place better, will make it better for everyone. As a community, we celebrate the hacker ethos and open source movement.

Dues

Member dues are collected monthly and go towards maintenance, new stuff, and keeping the lights on.

Storage

Storage bins (77Qt, 66L) are available for storing personal items.

Access

Members have 24/7/365 access to the lab.
